‘I’m Trapped’: Final Message Of Noida Woman Found Dead In Bhopal Deepens Mystery Around Case

Family refuses last rites, demands fresh AIIMS Delhi post-mortem as allegations against husband and in-laws intensify

A chilling final message sent by Twisha Sharma before her death has become central to the growing controversy surrounding the 31-year-old’s mysterious death in Bhopal.

“I am trapped, bro… just don’t get trapped yourself. Can’t talk much. I’ll call when the time is right,” Twisha allegedly wrote to her friend on Instagram shortly before she was found dead at her marital home.

Her friend responded with concern and support, but the promised call never came. The following day, Twisha — who was reportedly two months pregnant — was found hanging at her residence in Bhopal’s Katara Hills area.

Family Protests Outside CM Residence

Twisha’s family, originally from Noida, has now intensified its protest, demanding a second post-mortem examination at AIIMS Delhi and refusing to perform her last rites until they receive what they call “justice and truth”.

On Sunday, family members staged a protest outside the residence of Mohan Yadav, insisting on meeting the chief minister directly.

The family remained outside the CM House for hours despite repeated appeals from police and administrative officials to end the protest.

Family Alleges Harassment, Cover-Up

Twisha’s relatives have accused her husband and in-laws of prolonged mental and physical harassment and alleged attempts to influence the investigation.

The family also questioned the credibility of the ongoing probe, claiming the FIR was registered two days after her death and no arrests had been made immediately despite serious allegations.

According to the family, injury marks were visible on Twisha’s body, including on her hands and ears, raising suspicions of murder and destruction of evidence.

Demand For Fresh Post-Mortem At AIIMS Delhi

Twisha’s father, Navnidhi Sharma, has demanded that the body be preserved under stricter conditions and sought a fresh autopsy at AIIMS Delhi, saying the initial post-mortem conducted in Bhopal was unsatisfactory.

The family has also expressed distrust in the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by the police and wants the matter monitored under the supervision of the Supreme Court of India.

During the protest, Twisha’s father even threatened self-immolation if justice was denied.

Marriage Through Dating App, Family Says She Wanted To Return To Noida

Twisha, a former Miss Pune contestant, had married Bhopal-based lawyer Samarth Singh in December 2025 after reportedly meeting him through a dating app the previous year.

Her relatives claimed she had wanted to leave Bhopal and return to Noida in the months leading up to her death.

Her brother, Harshit Sharma, serves as a Major in the Indian Army.

Husband, Mother-In-Law Face Serious Allegations

Police said the SIT is investigating allegations of dowry harassment, assault and destruction of evidence against Samarth Singh and his mother Giribala Singh.

A local court has granted anticipatory bail to Giribala Singh, while the hearing on Samarth Singh’s anticipatory bail plea is scheduled for May 18.

Police officials have said efforts are underway to arrest Samarth Singh and challenge the bail granted to the retired judge.

Meanwhile, Twisha’s final “I am trapped” message has added another disturbing dimension to a case that continues to raise serious questions around the circumstances of her death.
